I’m Megan Forde, a self-taught artist creating original fine art for collectors who value emotion, depth, and timeless beauty. My work is rooted in noticing the poetry of everyday life and translating it into layered, textured paintings that feel like home.
My Story
I discovered my passion for art in my late twenties — somewhat unexpectedly. After years of working an 9-5 job and living life by routine, I found myself craving a deeper way to express the emotions and moments I was experiencing. And a sick day gave me that space to start to explore.
One sunny day in May 2021, I was home sick & decided to pick up a sketchbook & some watercolors to play around. What started as a simple experiment quickly grew into a daily practice of slowing down, observing, and capturing fleeting moments that often go unnoticed.
Art became my refuge and my language. It was a way to hold onto beauty and meaning when the world felt chaotic. Since then, every piece I create carries a bit of that discovery — a gentle invitation to pause, feel, and connect.
